About
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an analytical technique to separate, identify, and quantify components in a mixture. Able to achieve high levels of sample throughput by the use of either binary or quaternary pumps and interchangeable auto samplers. The high pressure operation and the use of short columns with small diameter media result in fast, high resolution separations. The dual-lamp design and the temperature control of the diode array detectors ensure outstanding sensitivity. Easy to use and scalable, the software and control instrumentation are advanced and critical value features.
Application

This technique is used for chemistry and biochemistry research analyzing complex mixtures, purifying chemical compounds, developing processes for synthesizing chemical compounds, isolating natural products, or predicting physical properties.

It is also used in quality control to ensure the purity of raw materials, to control and improve process yields, to quantify assays of final products, or to evaluate product stability and monitor degradation.

Identification (ID) of individual compounds in the sample.

Measurement of the amount of a compound in a sample concentration.

Determination of the peak height of a chromatographic peak as measured from the baseline.

Using grant/cash

1. Download the Instrument FORM
2. Fill-in the form completely - and get approval from your supervisor/project leader. Make sure the research grant code is active.
3. Fill online reservation form.
5. If your submission accepted, you will get email and see your name in our Calender.
6. Please come at booking time with original Instrument FORM, Sample and Blank CD to collect your data.

3. Scan and email the form to pembm.fst7@usim.edu.my . After email please call our office 06-798 6517
4. Kindly wait while we process your booking
5. Proceed with payment via P.O or cash transaction through Bendahari USIM
6. Call us once you've received the proof of payment to make reservation. We will update you with tax invoice later. 7. Walk in to our lab for sample analysis along with your CD for data collection.
